The Yunost-2 TV set in 1973 was modernized into Yunost-602 (UPT-23-VI). In the fall of 1973, the TV was upgraded to Yunost-603 (PT23-VI-3). Since 1975, the Ryazan Production Association "Red Banner" has begun production of the Yunost R-603 TV set, an analogue of the Yunost-603 model, where the letter "R" stood for Ryazan. The parameters, design and appearance of all three TVs are the same. Plastic case for the Yunost-603 TV set with side panels made of artificial leather (in a small series), wood and corrugated plastic. The TV operates in the MV range and when the SKD-20 unit is installed and in the UHF range. On the right of the TV are the UHF tuning knob, the on / off knob combined with the brightness control, the buttons for switching the UHF-UHF bands and antennas, and the jacks for external antennas. At the back there is a 220/12 V power connector. On the front panel there is a knob for the PTC and a local oscillator. Other handles are at the top and back. The Moscow Radio Engineering Plant also produced TV sets for export. The export TV delivered to England was named Rigonda-Starlet and worked only in the UHF range.
