Tape recorders and radio tape recorders.The professional tape recorder "MEZ-1" was produced presumably since 1949 by the Moscow Experimental Plant (MEZ). The recorder is designed to operate from a dynamic microphone, pickup, or 1.5 volt 600 ohm line. The set of the tape recorder consists of six separate packages, which are connected to each other with special shielded detachable hoses. The power consumed by the tape recorder from the AC mains does not exceed 300 W; duration of continuous sound is about 22 minutes. The quality indicators of the MEZ-1 tape recorder when using a C-type film (recording-playback path) are as follows: the unevenness of the frequency response in the range from 50 to 10000 Hz does not exceed 11.5 dB; harmonic coefficient measured at 400 Hz with 100% carrier modulation 1.5%; the level of intrinsic noise relative to the nominal output level at 100% modulation of the sound carrier -48 dB; the constancy of the running gear speed is 0.3% at a film pulling speed of 77 cm / sec.
