Audio / video center `` Electronics VMC-031 ''.

Video television equipment. Not included in the sectionsThe audio / video center "Electronics VMC-031" was developed in 1990. Here is information about the VIC from the site http://www.stereo.ru/: The task was to develop a universal video-audio center VMC-031, which would maximize the possibilities of magnetic recording. We completed it by making a working sample, and successfully reported for the work done to the supervising commander-in-chief of the Ministry of Economic Development. The center consists of three blocks, which can be placed vertically on top of each other, as shown in the photo, or horizontally. Chief among them is a 3-speed (SP, LP, EP) VHS video recorder with AM / FM stereo sound and alternative power (shown above). Below it is the VMP-031 unit of a video program device containing a TV tuner, a SECAM> PAL transcoder, an electronic calendar clock and programming systems for rewriting and timer recording, and below is the original unit ZVP-031 of a four-channel PCM sound processor. The dimensions of the base for the listed blocks are the same, and the height of the first is equal to the sum of the heights of the other two, stacked on top of each other. By the date of its development, the VMC-031 had the following significant advantages over the Japanese and our counterparts. At that time, VHS recorders were not produced in Japan, and the EP speed was found in VCRs only in NTSC. The ability to work at EP speed with Hi-Fi stereo soundtrack provided significant savings in cassette costs while maintaining high image and sound quality. The VMC-031 was much smaller than the VM-15 player (Voronezh modification of the VM-12, "half past eleven") and could be powered from 12 V. The presence of a SECAM / PAL transcoder ensured high-quality video recording of SECAM programs. The presence of the ZVP-031 unit of the PCM sound processor made it possible to use the VMC-031 for high-quality digital sound recording (up to 18 hours of PCM stereo on an E-180 cassette). The VMC-031 video player could be used independently and be completed taking into account the interests and financial capabilities of the user, i.e. did not impose unnecessary expenses. However, all these advantages did not make the desired impression on the ministry. The objections were at the level of statements like "looseness" and "the Japanese don't do that." We did not receive the expected support from Saratov either.
