TsMU "Raduga-4" is intended for dynamic color accompaniment of musical programs. The unit can also be used independently as a switch for light sources. In this case, it performs an automatic iteration of the previously programmed light switching options. These are running lights; pairwise switching on lamps of channels 1-3, 2-4 reverse running lights; flickering running lights; switching on with flickering channels of lamps 1-3, 2-4; flashing reverse: running shadow; reverse running shadow; running shadow with flickering, reverse BT with flickering. The frequency is determined by the memory of the master oscillator or the frequency knob, controlled through the LF regulator by the signal for synchronization. The number of frequency channels is 4, the power consumed by the CM unit is not more than 500 W; continuous operation time 7 ... 8 hours, dimensions of one light column 203х203х423, control unit 440х280х100 mm; set weight 10 kg. CMU was produced in two design options.
