Subscriber loudspeaker "Chaika-4".

Subscriber loudspeakers.DomesticThe subscriber loudspeaker of the third class "Chaika-4" from 1954 to 1956 was produced by the Omsk Electrotechnical Plant named after Karl Marx. In fact, under the same name "Chaika-4" and the same marking "0.25 GD-III-1" the plant produced two loudspeakers of different design. One had a rectangular window for the speaker and standard housing dimensions (200x140x90 mm, weight 1.4 kg), the other was smaller (198x140x80 mm, weight 1.3 kg) and was produced with rounded corners of the window for the speaker. AG "Chaika-4" was produced only in the version with a soaring seagull on the front side. The element base of both versions differed little from each other, they installed a rheostat-type volume control, but in the larger version, a speaker painted in dark green was used. The subscriber loudspeaker "Chaika-4" was intended for listening to one wire broadcasting program with a voltage in the radio network of 30 volts with a reproducible sound frequency range of 150 ... 5000 Hz.
