The Volkhov TV is designed to operate on twelve channels. It has 13 lamps, 8 diodes and a 35LK2B kinescope with a screen size of 285x215 mm. The TV's sensitivity of 275 μV makes it possible to receive TV studios with an outdoor antenna at a distance of up to 50 km. In terms of parameters and design, the TV is similar to the Zarya-2a and Sputnik models. For the first time, the TV takes into account a number of normal requirements for class 3 TVs, namely: reception in 12 channels, AGC and listening to sound on headphones with the speaker off, the headphone jacks can also be used to record sound on a tape recorder. The loudspeaker 0.5GD-10 is located on the right of the case and provides sufficient volume in a small room. The TV is assembled in a polished wooden case with imitation mahogany. The dimensions of the TV are 380x350x420 mm, weight is 18 kg. The back wall is made of metal, in the form of a truncated pyramid. There are holes on it to improve the thermal regime. The chassis design and vertical positioning and removable rear shroud provide access to lamps and other parts. The main control knobs are brought out to the right side wall of the case, and the auxiliary ones to the back. The CRT screen is protected by glass. The TV is powered by a network of 127 or 220 V. Power consumption is 130 watts. The price of the TV is 168 rubles after the 1961 reform.
