Combined installation `` Symphony ''.

Combined apparatus. The combined installation "Symphony" was developed and released in 6 copies in 1957 to demonstrate the achievements of the USSR in the field of radio and television technology at the VI International Festival of Youth and Students, which opened on June 28, 1957 in Moscow. Until the end of 1962, one unit stood at VDNKh. Combined installation or TV set with a stereo tape recorder "Symphony" refers to high-quality TV sets that use the latest achievements in TV technology. In addition to receiving TV, it is possible to play back a stereo magnetic recording with a tape speed of 19 cm / sec. The installation is designed as a horizontal console model with legs. In the center of the case there is a TV set, to the left and to the right of it there are acoustic units for playing stereo recordings. The tape recorder is installed in the upper right part of the case under the cover. In the left niche, under the opening cover, tape reels and empty ones, as well as some spare parts, could be stored. The TV has a wired remote control for switching programs with light indication of the selected channel number, control of contrast, brightness, local oscillator adjustment, timbre and sound volume. Turning on the TV and switching to work from the tape recorder are made by control knobs located in a special niche on the right side wall of the case. The volume knob and the tone control knob are located here. The tape recorder is controlled using a rocker switch located on the horizontal panel of the tape recorder. The TV uses a 53LK5B kinescope with an electron beam deflection angle of 110 °. The size of the image on the TV screen is 360x475 mm. The entire scheme of the Symphony installation is made on 20 radio tubes and 25 germanium diodes. LPM used from the tape recorder `` Elfa-10 ''. Reworked tape recorder circuitry for stereo playback. The TV and the tape recorder work on a common two-channel powerful amplifier with a broadband speaker. The TV circuit has an automatic brightness control, a clarity corrector and a local oscillator adjustment indicator. The assembly was done in a printed manner. The tape recorder circuit includes: two 3-stage amplifiers. During TV operation, both amplifiers are connected to the TV output, providing surround sound reproduction. The amplifiers have dual tone controls for bass and treble. Program switching is remote and is performed automatically using a special relay and an electric motor that rotates the PTC unit. The sensitivity for the image channel is 50 µV. The horizontal clarity in the center of the screen is 500, the vertical is 550 lines. The band of reproducible frequencies in terms of sound pressure is 40 ... 12000 Hz. Rated output power 3, maximum 7 watts. Power consumption of the network when the TV is running 240 W; tape recorder 80 watts. Unit dimensions with legs 1325x1070x480 mm. Weight 70 kg.
