The player is designed to reproduce phonograms recorded on MK-60 cassettes. The reproduction of phonograms is carried out on head-mounted stereo phones. The tape is rewound only in the direction of travel. The player can be used while on the move. The operating time of the player from a set of 4 AA batteries is 3 ... 4 hours. Belt speed 4.76 cm / sec. Knock coefficient 0.5%. The range of audio frequencies at the output for stereo phones is 63 ... 12500 Hz. Harmonic distortion 2.5%. Rated output power 2x5 mW. Consumption current 150 mA. The dimensions of the player are 154x90x38. Weight without elements 300 gr. To expand the range of products, the plant simultaneously produced a turntable "Electronics P-402S" similar to that described and "Electronics P-401" (monophonic, without micro-assemblies, yellow in the photo). An experimental batch of "Elektronika P-401S" turntables with a VHF radio was also produced.
