The modernization concerned the appearance of the receiver and consisted in transferring the controls and the scale from the front of the case to the upper one, which made it possible to remove the acoustic short circuit at the lowest sound frequencies due to the presence of large holes under the controls in the immediate vicinity of the dynamic head. The receiver is powered by 2 3336L batteries or 6 A-343 cells. Dimensions of the model are 261x181x48 mm, weight 1.5 kg. The price is 32 rubles 20 kopecks. The Alpinist-407 radios were also produced in the Olympic design, and the retail price of the model did not change.
