Network tube radio receiver `` VEF M-1357 ''.

Tube radios.DomesticSince 1945, the VEF M-1357 network tube radio receiver has been produced by the VEF Riga plant. The experimental shop of the VEF plant immediately after the end of the war produced a small experimental batch of VEF M-1357 receivers. The design of the receiver was developed by the plant even before the war. In the first version, the receiver had, in addition to smooth and push-button tuning, to the radio stations preselected by the listener. After the end of the war, the receiver was launched into small-scale production without push-button tuning, but automatic frequency control, push-button tone correction and an expander were retained. The VEF M-1357 radio receiver is based on the VEF Luxus M1307 radio receiver, developed at the beginning of 1940. In the design documentation, the receiver was originally called the VEF Luxus M1357. The radio designer Alberts Madisons, who has worked at the plant since its foundation, took part in the development of both models. The radio receiver contains 14 lamps (2 kenotrons are connected in parallel), it has an APCG and an expander, which expands the dynamic range of reception. The model is equipped with lamps: 6K8, 6K7 (3), 6Zh7, 6X6 (2), 6R7, 6N7, 6P6 (2), 6E5, 5Ts4S (2). Ranges of frequencies and waves received by the radio receiver: DV - 150 ... 430 kHz, SV - 520 ... 1500 kHz. KV1 4.1 ... 10.5 MHz (28.6 ... 73.2 m). KV2 - 9.2 ... 23 MHz (13 ... 32.6 m). KV3 - 15.03 ... 15.4 MHz (19.48 ... 19.96 m) IF 465 kHz. The nominal output power of the amplifier of the radio receiver is 12 W, the maximum is 15 W, the power consumed from the network is 200 W. The first photo shows the VEF M-1357 base receiver, photos of the chassis are also his. The receivers are almost identical in chassis except for pushbutton tuning.
