Black-and-white television receiver `` Light ''.

Black and white televisionsDomesticThe television receiver of the black-and-white image "Light" was developed in 1954. The experimental Svet TV was developed in Moscow by a group of designers led by V. Ivanov at the beginning of 1954. The TV was developed as a mass TV for large-scale production. For the first time, a new metal-glass kinescope of the 40LK1B type, 400 mm in diameter with an image size of 255x340 mm, was used in it. The model uses 17 finger-type radio tubes and a number of new small-sized parts and assemblies specially designed for this TV. The TV is designed to work in the first three channels, as well as to receive broadcasting stations in three VHF-FM subbands. The output power of the audio channel on two new loudspeakers 0.5GD-5 is about 1 W. Power consumption from the network is 160 W. Of the features, two should be noted. This is an optical scale for tuning VHF-FM, which allows you to determine the frequency by a strip of light, as well as speakers placed on the sides of the kinescope and create a surround sound that enhances the presence. Due to various numerous problems of inconsistency in departments, the release of new parts, etc., the TV was never put into mass production.
