Radiola network lamp "Crystal".

Network tube radiosDomesticSince the beginning of 1958, the network tube radio "Kristall" has been produced at the Riga State Electrotechnical Plant "VEF" in a pilot series in 3 versions, with a key tone register (tone control) and an automatic tuning mechanism, a wired remote control like a radio receiver, with tone registers located on the volume and tuning controls and without tone registers as in the "Latvia" and "Lux" radios. Technical parameters, e-mail the circuitry and design of the radio practically coincide with the Russia radio and the Lux radio receiver. All the differences are in the design of the case and the speaker system with the so-called surround sound, which in the radio consists of two low-frequency loudspeakers 4GD-1 installed on the left, on the front panel, one 3GD-7 which performs the functions of a mid-frequency one. It stands on the right side of the front panel, as well as two HF VGD-1 installed on the front panel in the middle and two of the same VGD-1 or 1GD-9 installed on two side walls and reproducing medium and high frequencies. The speaker system of the radio has high electro-acoustic data. The range of reproduced sound frequencies extends from 30 Hz to 18 kHz with a rise of 10 dB at the edges. Radiola has 14 finger-type radio tubes: 6N3P, 6I1P, 6K4P (3 pieces), 6X2P, 6N1P, 6N2P (2 pieces), 6P14P (4 pieces) and 6E1P. A version of a stereophonic radio with a 2nd acoustic system and a remote control panel was also developed (main image). In 1959, the "Crystal-2" radio was developed with high acoustic parameters, which remained only an exhibition specimen.
