The tape recorder was created on the basis of the "Electron-4" amateur tape recorder, which was exhibited at the 21st All-Union Exhibition of Creativity of Radio Amateurs-Designers in 1968 in Moscow, was awarded a first-degree diploma and was recommended for serial production. The "Electron" tape recorder is designed for recording and subsequent playback of phonograms at a speed of 9.53 cm / sec. The coils accommodate 100 m of magnetic tape of type 10. The operating frequency band on the LV is 63 ... 10000 Hz. The detonation coefficient of CVL is 0.4%. Rated output power from batteries 0.5 W, from a network 1 W. The dimensions of the tape recorder are 283x290x100 mm, the weight with batteries and tape is 4.7 kg. Since 1972, the plant began producing a four-track tape recorder "Electron-302", which, apart from other heads, a track switch and, accordingly, a longer recording time, did not differ in design and appearance from the base one. The devices were equipped with a prefix, which included a power supply unit and an additional loudspeaker.
