The main differences between the LPPT-59 model and the UNT-59 model; the IF sound amplifier is assembled on 2 GT313A transistors, the LF preamplifier on the MP-40A and the 6P14P lamp, the vertical sweep master oscillator is made on the TX4B thyratron, the 6P18P lamp is used in the vertical sweep output stage. The circuits for the rest of the stages are similar. The device has the ability to connect the remote control prescribed by GOST for brightness and volume, there are jacks for connecting headphones with muting the loudspeakers. Anode fuses can be changed without removing the back panel. Power consumption in comparison with CNT-47/59 has decreased, reliability has increased. TVs have a new design and designers are constantly working on modernization in order to transfer the image path to transistors and the introduction of a UHF receiving unit. For some reason, the television sets "Electron-4" and "Electron-12" were not put into production, and instead of them, since October 1967, televisions have been produced under the names "Electron-2", "Ogonyok-2", but with the unification of the type ULPPT-47 / 59-1.
