Black and white televisionsDomesticThe television receiver of the black-and-white image "Yantar" has been produced by the Moscow Television Plant since 1956. The Yantar TV is based on the Rubin model, so all parameters, except for power consumption (200/100 W), are the same as those of Rubin. "Yantar" has 19 lamps and a 53LK2B type kinescope with a rectangular screen and electrostatic beam focusing. The receiving channels are made according to the superheterodyne scheme with signal separation after the video amplifier. The TV is designed to receive five channels and VHF radio stations. There are pickup sockets. The speaker consists of two loudspeakers. Applied AGC and AFC and F line generator. A TV set was assembled on 2 chassis: the lower one, with receiving channels and a rectifier, and the upper one, with sweep and synchronization. The chassis and the PTP unit are connected by connectors. The block design provides easy access to lamps and installation. The TV has an internal antenna for reception near the TV studio. In the middle of 1957, the TV was upgraded to the Yantar-A model, the basis of which was the modernized Rubin-A TV. Author of the development: V.M. Khakharev. This TV was produced until 1959 inclusive. Image size 340x450 mm. Power consumption when receiving television 180 W, radio broadcasting 90 W. The sensitivity of the model is 100 μV. The release of the Yantar and Yantar-A TV sets was experienced and experimental. A total of 356 TV sets "Yantar" and "Yantar-A" were manufactured.
