Tape recorder '' Spalis '' (Elfa-10).

Tape recorders and radio tape recorders. The tape recorder "Spalis" (Elfa-10) has been produced by the Vilnius Electrotechnical Plant "Elfa" since 1956. The first tape recorders were produced in a carbolite case, then in a wooden case covered with dermantine. The tape recorder is intended for recording and reproducing sound phonograms. Two-track recording is conducted on standard magnetic tape. The tape recorder uses cassettes for 360 meters of tape, which allows recording at a tape speed of 19.5 cm / sec on 2 tracks for an hour. The transition from one track to another is carried out by turning the coils. Recording on tape can be done from a microphone, pickup, receiver and radio link. The recording level is controlled by the 6E5C optical indicator. There is fast rewinding of the tape in both directions. The universal amplifier is assembled on 6N2P, 6N1P, 6P14P tubes, which are used for recording and playback. The rectifier uses a 6Ts4P lamp, later diodes. The amplifier has a volume control and a treble tone control. The amplifier reproduces a frequency band from 70 to 8000 Hz (on a LV), its output power is 1 W. The tape recorder is controlled by the volume knobs, timbre and five keys located on the top panel of the LPM. The tape recorder is assembled in a suitcase measuring 410x300x175 mm and weighing 15 kg. Power consumption 75 watts. Microphone MD-41 included. During the release, the tape recorder has undergone several improvements.
