Portable radio station `` Vitalka '' (Vitalka).

Receiving and transmitting radio equipment.Portable single-channel radio station "Vitalka" (Vitalka) has been produced since 1978 by one of the Ukrainian factories. The radio station was developed by the Kiev radio amateur Yuri Medinets (UB5UG). The Vitalka radio station is intended for climbers and mountain tourists. The frequency of reception and transmission is 27.12 MHz (there were other frequencies). Sensitivity 0.1 μV. The output power of the transmitter is 100 mW. The output power of the LF amplifier is 100 mW. Powered by eight A-316 elements. FM modulation (according to some sources there was also AM). The range of reliable communication in the mountains within the line of sight reaches 2 ... 2.5 kilometers, in shaded areas up to 500 meters. After several years of operation of radio stations, due to the aging of quartz, the frequency of reception and transmission began to diverge, which made communication impossible. Since 1980 the radio stations "Vitalka-M" and "Vitalka-S" have been produced. "Vitalka-M" (modernized) is a small bag with a long telescopic antenna and, separately, the radio station itself. In the bag there are three "KBS 0.5" batteries and an antenna, all of which were connected to the radio station with a cable. The communication range at the Vitalka-M radio stations is 3 times farther than at the Vitalka radio stations. The power supply kit was enough for 15 ... 30 hours of continuous operation. The release of radio stations was limited. The Vitalka-S radio station (stationary) differs from the previous radio stations with a stationary antenna. It was recommended to feed the Vitalka-S radio station from a battery of accumulators with a voltage of 12 ... 13.5 volts. The communication range, in contrast to the base radio station, is 10 ... 15 times farther. The release of radio stations was similarly limited.
