Network tube radios "Lux" and "Lux-2".

Network tube radiosDomesticRadiols "Lux" and "Lux-2" since 1956 and since 1958 have been produced by the Riga plant "VEF". "Lux" (RK-156) is an 11-tube superheterodyne AM-FM receiver combined with a universal EPU. The radio has six bands, a built-in rotary magnetic antenna and a VHF dipole, a rocker band switch, an indicator of fine tuning, automatic gain control, separate stepless tone control, stepless IF band control. The radio speaker system consists of two 5GD-14 broadband loudspeakers located on the front panel and two high-frequency 1GD-9 loudspeakers located on the side walls. The universal EPU with an asynchronous electric motor and a drive at 33 and 78 rpm, with semi-automatic switching on and automatic switching off has a piezoceramic pickup for two corundum needles for ordinary and LP records with a service life of 200 hours. The body of the radio is finished in a precious wood and polished. The scale is graduated in meters. The radio has sockets for connecting an external antenna, grounding, an external VHF antenna, an external loudspeaker and an adapter. Chassis units and parts are unified, small-sized, and later they were adopted for the production of various radio and receivers by a number of radio factories. The dimensions of the radio are 625x450x365 mm. Weight 27 kg. Power supply from AC 110, 127 or 220 V. Power consumption 85 and 100 W. Frequency ranges: DV 150 ... 410 kHz, SV 520 ... 1600 kHz, KVI 9.4 ... 13.0 MHz, KVII 5.2 ... 7.5 MHz, KVIII 3.95 ... 5.5 MHz, VHF 64.5 ... 73 MHz. IF for AM path 465 kHz, for FM path 8.4 MHz. Sensitivity for DV, SV, KV - 50 µV, VHF 10 µV. Selectivity on the adjacent channel 56 and 30 dB. Rated output power 6, maximum 11 watts. The band of reproducible sound frequencies in the AM ranges - 60 ... 6500 Hz, FM - 60 ... 12000 Hz, during the operation of the EPU - 70 ... 7000 Hz. In 1958 the radiola was upgraded to the Lux-2 model. The design of the radio has remained the same. The electrical circuit was improved, the HF sub-bands were corrected, the reproducible frequency range was expanded to 50 ... 13000 Hz in the VHF-FM range and up to 60 ... 10000 Hz when the EPU is operating.
