Black and white televisionsDomesticThe black-and-white television receiver "TU-VEI" was created in 1934 at the All-Union Electrotechnical Institute. This is how this television set was described in the magazine Radiofront No. 1 for 1935. There is no installation image. The VEI TV installation with a large screen was built and tested for projection of the image of mechanical television programs on a large screen. A lens disc with 48 lenses is used as a deploying device. The number of image decomposition elements is 3000. A large kerr capacitor is used for light modulation. The light source is an arc lamp. The TV set has an exclusively demonstration value and is installed in the Polytechnic Museum of Moscow. The image on the screen when transferring faces has quite satisfactory clarity.
