CD players.Laser CD player "Luch-002" was created in 1981 at AS Popov VNIIRPA. The Luch-002 PKD is an improved model of the Luch-001 experimental PKD. The first domestic optical CD player prepared for serial production "Luch-002" was demonstrated at VDNKh in 1982. Thousands of visitors and millions of TV viewers saw the first PKD and optical disc, where the melody from the movie "My affectionate and gentle animal" was recorded. PKD "Luch-002" aroused great interest of enterprises producing radio equipment. But at that time there were still no corresponding components and technologies for the production of both the components themselves and the laser discs, and the novelty was frozen for several more years.
