Dictaphone "P-180" is a portable tape recorder with autonomous power supply, which allows recording various oral instructions, orders, reports, telephone conversations, radio programs, meeting materials or other types of speech information on a ferromagnetic tape in stationary and field conditions. Reproduction of the recorded material is provided in listening mode or in a mode specially designed for retyping on a typewriter and handwriting (dictation mode). Since 1963, changes began to be made in the recorder and it became known as "P-180-M". Since 1965, a tape recorder with the name "P-180-MI" has been produced. There were also modifications, but it is not possible to trace the entire line.
