The radio is assembled on eight transistors and operates in the DV, SV and VHF-FM bands. Power supply is universal, from 6 "Saturn" batteries or from 2 KBSL-0.5 batteries or from an alternating current network. Reception in the LW and SV ranges is made on the built-in rotary magnetic antenna, in the VHF range on the internal vibrator. There are connectors for outdoor antennas and grounding. Receiver parameters for reception in DV, SV correspond to the models of the 4th class. In the VHF-FM range, it is possible to receive only local radio stations located at a distance of up to 5 ... 7, and with an external antenna up to 20 kilometers, since the circuit of the VHF-FM path is very simplified and the sensitivity here does not exceed 1000 μV. Frequency response for sound pressure in the ranges: DV, SV - 150 ... 3500 Hz, in the VHF range - 150 ... 7000 Hz. Several dozen radio sets "Minsk T-62" were produced, after which it was replaced by a full-fledged VHF model "Minsk-62".
