Laser audio-video player `` Kolibri VP-101 ''.

CD players.Laser audio-video player "Kolibri VP-101" was produced in an experimental batch in 1997 by the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant. The fate of this apparatus is rooted in the end of perestroika, in the program for the conversion of the defense industry of the USSR. It was then, in the early 90s, at the military plant in Sverdlovsk (UEMZ), that the licensed assembly of the Belgian audio-video player "Philips CDV-496" was organized. Around the same time, at another secret enterprise: the 300th production of the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant, it was decided to copy the foreign device, adapting it to the domestic element base. The release of the player was planned to begin in 1993. Then the collapse of the USSR broke out, and the financing of the enterprise was cut. However, the project was somehow not closed. The main work on a promising device was carried out in 1992 ... 1994-ies. And only in 1997, when most of the Russian electronics industry was already in ruins, an experimental batch of the "Kolibri VP-101" turntable was released. Components were used both domestically and imported (in a proportion of approximately 50/50). The individual blocks were not just copied from Philips, but developed in Izhevsk from scratch. The player had great features and wide functionality. Supported playback of formats LaserDisc (CAV and CLV), CDVideo, and CDAudio. The indication was carried out both on the multifunctional display on the front panel and on the TV screen (on-screen menu). Remote control was provided; the player's memory could store user-programmed playlists; there were other features typical of the audio and video players of the day. The video was played back in the PAL system, with a horizontal resolution of 420 lines. The range of reproducible sound frequencies is 20 ... 20000 Hz, the noise / signal ratio is not less than 72 dB. Power consumption 60 W, dimensions of the device 420х110х410 mm, weight 10 kg.
