Reel-to-reel tape recorder `` Melody ''.

Tape recorders and radio tape recorders.Since 1956, the Melody reel-to-reel tape recorder has been produced by the Tochmash Novosibirsk plant. The device is a copy of the German tape recorder "Grundig TK-5" with adjustment for domestic radio components and GOST conditions. The quality indicators of the device correspond to the tape recorders of the 4th group of GOST 8088-56. The Melody tape recorder is designed to work with magnetic tape type 2 or CH. Two-track recording, at a tape speed of 9.53 cm / sec, provides recording and reproduction of a frequency band from 100 to 6000 Hz. The THD of the through channel of the tape recorder at a rated output power of 1.5 W is 2.8%. The ratio of the total noise level of the end-to-end channel to the maximum recording level is -38 dB. The sensitivity of the tape recorder at a frequency of 1000 Hz: from a microphone of 0.5 mV, a pickup of 100 mV, a broadcasting receiver of 3 mV and from a broadcasting line of 10 V. The model provides an output to an external amplifier and a loudspeaker. The nominal output voltage is at the output for the external amplifier 775 mV at a resistance of 30 ohms, and at the output of the external loudspeaker 2.15 V at a resistance of 3 ohms. The amplifier has a tone control, the range of which at a frequency of 6000 Hz is 20 dB. The "Melody" tape recorder has an erasure and bias current generator operating at a frequency of 50 KHz. An optical indicator is provided to set the nominal recording level. The reels hold 250 m of ferromagnetic tape, allowing recording on two tracks for 90 minutes. The tape can be rewound in forward and reverse directions; the fast forward time does not exceed 100 seconds. To reduce the wear of the magnetic heads, the tape is retracted during rewinding both from the eraser and from the universal head, and during playback from the eraser. To determine the amount of tape on the cassettes, a counter is installed in the LPM. Since 1958, the plant made an attempt to change the name of the device to "Accord MG-9". Several vehicles were produced and for some reason everything stopped.
