Portable transistor tape recorder "Reporter".

Reel-to-reel tape recorders, portable.Reel-to-reel tape recorders, portablePortable transistor tape recorder "Reporter" was developed in 1956 at the Gorky plant named after G. I. Petrovsky. The small-sized tape recorder "Reporter" is designed for recording interviews. It is a compact and lightweight apparatus, completely made on semiconductor devices. We could not find any other information on this device. The tape recorder remained a prototype, released in small quantities. The reason why the tape recorder was not put into production was the imperfection of the semiconductor (transistors) of those years, their greater noise and instability of parameters with changes in the supply voltage and ambient temperature. In 1958, a similar tape recorder was launched into serial production under the name "Reporter-2", but made on miniature radio tubes instead of transistors.
