Network tube radio receiver "EKL-4" and "EKL-34".

Tube radios.DomesticSince 1933 and 1934 the Leningrad plant named after Kozitsky produced the network tube radio "EKL-4" and "EKL-34". In 1930, the Central Radio Laboratory of the Trust of Low Current Plants developed the 1-V-2 radio receiver, which in March 1933 was transferred to production at the plant named after V. Kozitsky and, thus, in the summer of 1933, the first thousand of these receivers appeared under the brand name "EKL-4" (Shielded, Kozitsky, Lamp, 4 variant). On the initiative of the Leningrad Radio Committee under the Regional Committee of the Komsomol in December 1933, a public trial was organized over the receiver. EKL-4 was one of the first AC powered receivers in one box with a dynamic loudspeaker. He worked with the same set of lamps as the "ECHS-2" radio receiver, and had two ranges: from 225 to 720 m and from 680 to 2000 m. and sensitivity, etc. The court suggested that the plant eliminate all the shortcomings, the list of which included 18 items. As a result of public influence, the EKL-4 radio receiver was significantly improved and soon began to be produced under the EKL-34 brand (Shielded, Kozitskiy, Lampovy, 34 years old).
