Black and white televisionsDomesticSince the beginning of 1955, the Avangard-55 black-and-white television receiver has been produced by the Leningrad Plant named after Kozitsky and the Krasnoyarsk TV Plant. The third-class TV "Avangard-55" is based on the previous model "Avangard". The transfer from the second to the third grade is associated with higher requirements for the quality of television images and sound. There were no officially TV classes yet, but during development they were provided for, although they were not indicated in the instructions. The new TV set is designed to receive television studios in one of the first five channels, to receive FM stations in three sub-bands and to play back a recording from an external EPU. Decorated TV in a polished wooden box measuring 545x585x400 mm. TV weight 45 kg. AC power supply. Power consumption when receiving TV 220 W, radio 120 W. Sensitivity 500 μV. Output power 1 W. Sound frequency range 100 ... 5000 Hz. On the front panel there is a frame bordering the screen, on the sides of which two loudspeakers are fixed under the cloth drapery. The main control knobs are located in front of the screen. On the right side wall there are 2 knobs, program switching and local oscillator settings. There are additional adjusters on the back of the chassis; network switch, fuse, adapter and antenna socket to which the cable of the indoor and outdoor antenna is connected through a matching device. In 1955 and until 1957, the plant simultaneously produced the three-channel Avangard TV in the design of the Avangard-55 model.
