The TV set ''17 TN-1' 'was developed in the laboratory of the plant engineer. M.N. Tovbin and S.A. Orlov in the fall of 1939. The design is based on the serial radio "6N-1". The kinescope for the TV was produced by the Svetlana plant. The television could receive signals from the Moscow (343 lines) and Leningrad (240 lines) television centers. Before the start of the war, the factories produced ~ 2000 TV sets "17 TN-1". Desktop TV "17TN-3" was developed on the basis of the model "TI-3" in NII-9 (A. Raspletin, N. Kurchev, E. Friedberg) and in the experimental workshop of VNIIT before the war ~ 200 TV sets "17TN-3" ... The TV was received by the Moscow and Leningrad television centers.
