TV receiver of black-and-white image `` TsRL ''.

Black and white televisionsDomesticSince May 1934, the television receiver of the black-and-white image "TsRL" has been produced by the Leningrad Central Radio Laboratory. The TV set is designed to receive mechanical television with image decomposition into 1200 elements on an electro-ray tube (kinescope), with vertical or horizontal scanning, as well as with the possibility of increasing the elements up to 20 thousand. Television sets with the ability to reproduce an image with up to 35 thousand elements have been released since August 1934. The first TV set was intended for experiments with already existing on-air mechanical television (1200 elements) and differed from mechanical only in increased image brightness and high complexity, the second type (even more complicated) was intended for experiments with terrestrial and wired disk transmitters of mechanical television with a number of picture elements from 10.800 to 21.600. There were no high-resolution transmitters in those years.
