Black-and-white television receiver `` Radium-B ''.

Black and white televisionsDomesticSince 1964, the Radiy-B television receiver for b / w images has been produced by the Gorky Television Plant named after Lenin. The Radium-B TV is an upgraded version of the previous Radium-A model. The device has changed the layout and design of the chassis. In design, it differs sharply from its predecessor. The dimensions of the case have been reduced to 565x430x360 mm thanks to the use of a convex aluminum back wall with ventilation holes. The five-key switch for the timbre-register operating mode and for turning off the TV is located on the left side of the front panel, and on the right side under the picture tube, there are knobs for adjusting the VHF-FM unit and the volume control. The tuning scale on the VHF-FM radio station is in the center at the bottom, and the contrast, brightness and clarity controls are at the bottom of the cover, under which the speakers are located. The channel selector knob has been moved to the right side. In the TV, the PTK-38 unit is used, instead of the PTK-74, the mount has been changed accordingly. In connection with the use of the IP-2 VHF unit instead of the VHF-I, the vernier design has been redesigned. In order to reduce the height of the TV, the upper chassis is brought closer to the lower one, and to improve the thermal regime it is shifted back. As a result, the upper chassis can be extended or folded up or down without removing the TV from the case. This makes it easier to change lamps and upper chassis parts. The cut-out in the bottom of the apparatus case, which is covered by a cardboard flap, has been enlarged, which greatly simplified access to the parts of the lower chassis. Thus, the TV can be inspected and repaired without disassembling it. The editing has also been redesigned. It is made more reliable and more accessible for inspection and repair. The fuses can be changed without opening the rear wall, but only by removing the mains connection block mounted on a separate panel that closes the anode fuses when the block is turned on. The technical parameters of the TV are similar to those of the Rubin-102B model. The price of the TV is 386 rubles. In October 1966, the plant released another modernized Radium-I model, which, however, differed little from the previous one and which was soon replaced by a new unified Chaika TV. In total, 765.500 pieces of TVs of the Radiy brand of all modifications were manufactured over the years of production.
