The receiver was created on the basis of the "October" model of the 1954 Leningrad Metalware Plant. Due to minor changes in the scheme and design, as well as in the use of the new case, both models are practically similar. Receivers of the 2nd variant in a small series since 1957 have been produced by the Velikie Luki Radio Plant. Ranges of working waves (frequencies): HF range KV-1 - 24.8 ... 26 m. (12.1 ... 11.5 MHz). KV-2 - 30 ... 32.6 m. (10 ... 9.2 MHz). KV-3 - 40.6 ... 42.8 m. (7.4 ... 7.0 MHz). KV-4 - 47.6 ... 75 m. (6.3 ... 4 MHz). SV 187 ... 578 m. (1600 ... 520 kHz). DV 723 ... 2000 m. (415 ... 150 kHz). IF 465 kHz. The sensitivity from the antenna is 60 µV. Sensitivity from the pickup jacks 0.2 V. Selectivity 46 dB (with a narrow passband). Rated output power 4 W, maximum 8 W. The band of reproduced sound 60 ... 6500 Hz. The power consumed from the network is 80 W.
