The TV set is designed to receive TV programs in any of the 12 channels, FM radio stations, as well as playback of gramophone and magnetic recordings. The apparatus uses a 35LK2B kinescope with an image size of 220x290 mm, 18 radio tubes and 15 diodes. The sensitivity of the TV is 200 µV, the VHF-FM set-top box is 150 µV. Clarity of the image 500 lines. Sound frequency band 100 ... 7000 Hz. Output power 1 W. Power consumption 140 W, when receiving VHF-FM 50 W. Loudspeaker 1GD-9 located on the front panel creates loud sound for a middle room. The model has AGC, ARYA and APCHiF systems, a clarity control knob. The case is made of bent plywood and finished in dark precious woods. Plastic is used in the decoration. The main control knobs are in the front, the auxiliary ones are in the niche on the right. Installation is printed. The price of the model after the monetary reform of 1961 is 234 rubles. In 1964, the external design was slightly changed and the TV began to be referred to as `` Start-3M ''.
