Tauras black-and-white television receiver.

Black and white televisionsDomesticThe television receiver of the black-and-white image "Tauras" has been producing the Shauliai Television Plant since the 4th quarter of 1966. The Tauras TV was prepared for production at the end of 1966, several hundred prototypes were made in different design options, but its mass production began only in January 1968. '' Tauras '' - a unified class 2 television receiver (UNT-59-II-1) was produced in a desktop and floor design with various options for finishing the case and front panel. The TV uses an explosion-proof picture tube of type 59LK2B or (59LK2B-K, C) with a screen size of 59 cm diagonally and an electron beam cut-off angle of 110 °. The rotating chassis and the rational arrangement of units and blocks make the TV convenient for inspection or repair. The TV provides: reception of programs in any of the 12 channels; the ability to connect a tape recorder to record sound; listening to the soundtrack on the headphones with the loudspeakers turned off; the ability to adjust the volume and brightness at a distance using a wired remote control; connection of a dual-language set-top box (the remote control and the set-top box are not included in the package). The TV has an APCG in the TV channel selector block, which provides a transition from one television program to another without adjustments. AGC makes the image stable when the TV signal levels change. The influence of interference is minimized by the AFC and F horizontal scanning system. Image size 300x485 mm. Sensitivity 50 μV. Resolution 450 ... 500 lines. The nominal output power of the sound channel is 1.5 W. The TV set is powered by 127 or 220 V AC. Power consumption 180 W. Mains voltage fluctuations should not exceed 10% in both directions from the nominal value. The TV uses 17 radio tubes, 20 semiconductor devices, 2 loudspeakers. The dimensions of the TV are 700x540x416 mm. Its weight is 37 kg. During the release, there were two minor upgrades to the TV.
