Electrodynamic loudspeaker "D-2".

Subscriber loudspeakers.DomesticThe D-2 electrodynamic loudspeaker was produced by the Moscow Electric Lamp Plant (MELZ) from 1938 to 1941. The plant changed its name several times, so on some EDGs one can find the abbreviation of the Moscow Machine-Building Plant, the Moscow Plant of Electric Lamp Machine-Building, etc. The common thing was that the loudspeaker was produced in the household electrical appliances workshop. The loudspeaker "D-2" is designed to operate from a broadcast radio network, with a voltage of 30 V, as well as from radio receivers with a triode in the output stage. It has a power consumption of 0.25 W and still gives satisfactory volume in a medium-sized living room. The speaker is equipped with a transformer with two pairs of contact paws and a cord with a plug. In the case when the speaker is installed in public places where increased volume was required, the cord had to be disconnected from V.O.'s legs. and attach to a pair of legs N.O. The maximum power for collective use is 0.8 W. The loudspeaker was produced in several design options, in a wooden case with rounded corners. In 1940, a prefix-regulator was used to control the sound volume, which was installed between the outlet of the broadcasting network and the loudspeaker.
