Rembrandt black-and-white television receiver.

Black and white televisionsDomesticSince May 1953, the Rembrandt TV has been produced at the Saxonwerk plant in Radeberg, GDR. The TV set was exported to the USSR until November 1957. This was a variant adapted for the USSR (FE-852B), it lacked the middle sharpness control knob. It is designed to receive television programs in the first 3 channels, VHF radio stations in the 66 ... 67.5 MHz range and listen to recordings from an external EPU. The TV set is assembled in a polished wooden box measuring 675x435x430 mm and weighing 35 kg. The device is powered from an alternating current network with a voltage of 110, 127 or 220 V. When watching television programs, a power of 210 W is consumed, and when radio reception is 105 W. There are 22 radio tubes on the TV. The radio channels are assembled according to the superheterodyne scheme, with separate amplification of the IF of the image and sound accompaniment. Round kinescope HF-2963, 30 centimeters in diameter and 180x240 mm in size, protected by safety glass. In terms of parameters, the kinescope was equal to the 31LK2B kinescope, but it was more durable, and the image on it was sharp and contrasting. To the right of the screen, behind a decorative fabric, there is an elliptical speaker, and under the screen there are four double knobs at the bottom: for switching on, switching modes: TV, FM, ZV, tuning to channels or radio stations, adjusting brightness, volume and timbre. There are additional knobs on the back of the TV chassis for adjusting the frame and line scans. The TV has a sensitivity of 500 µV. The nominal output power of the sound channel is 2 W. The range of reproducible sound frequencies is 120 ... 4000 Hz. The device uses AGC, which provides constant contrast, with significant changes in the signal at the antenna input. The centering of the image on the screen is carried out by changing the position of the focusing coil located on the neck of the receiving tube with a special lever. The TV assemblies are assembled on a metal chassis, which is attached to the case with two bolts. The electrical circuit has an accessible hinged installation, located in the basement of the chassis on PCB strips. In total, about 20 thousand Rembrandt TVs were imported to the USSR.
