Designed for communication at the upper side at a fixed frequency in the range 1600 ... 2850 KHz. Depending on the terrain and type of antenna, at a distance from industrial facilities, telephone and high-voltage lines, the radio station provides communication up to 30 km. It was produced in 2 versions: "Karat-2N" wearable, with a power supply unit on 8 elements "373" and "Karat-2S" stationary, powered from the mains. The output power of a wearable PC is 1 W, a stationary one is 10 W. Sensitivity 1.2 μV.
