EP is intended for playing records together with any amplifying equipment. The EP uses an EPU type III-EPU-28M, designed for three speeds of rotation of the disk: 33, 45, 78 rpm. A power transformer is installed in the electric drive, supplying the motor with a voltage of 127 volts, while in the electrical network, it is either 127 or more often 220 volts. The output of the pickup with a shielded wire through the connectors can be connected to a bass amplifier with speakers. At the output, the range of reproducible sound frequencies is 50 ... 10000 Hz.
