Shortwave radio receivers KUB-2 and KUB-3.

Amplifying and broadcasting equipmentSince 1931, the KUB-2 and KUB-3 shortwave radio receivers have been produced by the Kazitsky Leningrad Apparatus Plant. The radio receiver "KUB-2" (picture on the right) is designed to receive a radio station in the range of short waves from 14 to 200 meters. It is built entirely according to the "KUB-4" radio receiver, but does not have a low-frequency amplifier and is intended mainly for radio broadcasting units. Reception is also possible on headphones. The case of the "KUB-2" receiver differs from the "KUB-4" receiver. The radio receiver "KUB-3" (picture on the left) replaced the radio receivers "RKE-2" and "RKE-3" and is intended for individual radio amateurs. The receiver is built in the likeness of the "KUB-4" receiver, but there is no high-frequency amplifier in it. The receiver also has a shortwave range from 14 to 200 meters.
