Radio receiver and radiola network tube "Oka".

Network tube radiosDomesticSince the middle of 1956, the Oka network tube radio and radio sets have been produced at plant No. 672 NKEP, MPSS (later Kaluga Electromechanical Plant). On the basis of the "Baltika" receiver, a radio receiver and a radio "Oka" have been developed and produced. Radiola "Oka" is intended for reproduction of ordinary and long-playing records. In the radio, such shortcomings of the "Baltika" receiver are eliminated as, when working from the pickup, the radio reception is turned off, a capacitor is included in the antenna circuit, the use of a subscriber loudspeaker with an operating voltage of 30 volts is provided as an external loudspeaker. To improve the sound quality in the radio and the receiver, it is envisaged to use 2 ZGD-2 loudspeakers. Tests of prototypes of the radio receiver and the Oka radio have shown that the sound quality when receiving radio stations and playing a record is satisfactory. In terms of the electrical circuit and quality indicators, the radio receiver and the radio "Oka" are not much different from the radio receiver "VEF-Akkord". The radio receiver and radio "Oka" were developed at the beginning of 1956 at the Design Bureau of the Riga State Electrotechnical Plant "VEF".
