Power supply of 4 AA cells, with an electronic clock, power is supplied from 5 cells (one cell per clock). Turning on the receiver and adjusting the volume is carried out by the knob located at the top of the globe, and tuning to the broadcasting station is done by turning the globe around its own axis.
