The radio center &quot;UK-50&quot; has been produced since 1947 by the plant No. 662 of the Ministry of Communications Industry. The plant produced 50-watt radio units of the UK-50 type and low-frequency amplifiers of the U-50 type. The latter are designed to work in sound amplification installations, and can also be used in small radio broadcasting centers of local importance (in schools, clubs, collective farms, etc.).

The radio center allows broadcasting of central radio broadcasting, as well as broadcasting from a local studio and playing gramophone records. The unit is housed in an iron casing with a removable cover. Its dimensions are 1000x500x500 mm. The installation includes: amplifier U-50, radio receiver &#39;&#39;

&#39;&#39;, a gramophone motor of the &#39;MC-1&#39; type, a piezo adapter, a loudspeaker for monitoring, an output switch designed for a closed (inside a building) broadcasting network, since the UK-50 installation has no lightning protection. The monitor loudspeaker allows you to separately listen to the receiver and amplifier, so you can tune the receiver while transmitting locally. The design provides for the ability to work from the central city broadcasting network. The installation does not require adjustment and is ready to work immediately after connection. Transmission control is carried out by ear or by the output device of the amplifier

The amplifier consists of two separate blocks (pre-amplifier and terminal). The units are installed on a common frame, fastened to the front panel. The amplifier was produced in a perforated casing, and it is possible to install it without a casing on a standard rack used for broadcasting equipment. Switches, regulators and instruments are located on the front panel. Input and output terminals, power plugs, fuses are located on the rear walls of the chassis of the units. Rated output power 50 W at 4% THD. Unevenness of the main frequency response in the range of 50 ... 10000 Hz 4 dB. ULF has 3 outputs 15, 30, 120 volts. The microphone inputs are designed for ribbon or dynamic microphones.
