Designed to receive radio broadcasting stations in the ranges AM 530 ... 1600 kHz and FM 76 ... 90 MHz, as well as for reproduction and recording of phonograms on compact cassettes. The radio tape recorder has: automatic frequency control in the FM range; recording level adjustment; automatic stop of the CVL at the end of the tape in the cassette or its jamming; separate adjustment of the bass and treble tone. The radio tape recorder records from its own radio receiver or external signal sources. There is a possibility of listening to phonograms on headphones. The Sony CF-1980 radio is intended for sale in the Japanese market only. There are no technical characteristics of the radio tape recorder yet.
