The top-class TV set Almaz-105 is designed to receive black-and-white TV programs broadcasted in two languages and the viewer could turn on any of them. The separation of languages was carried out using two subcarriers in the sound channel. Such broadcasts were practiced in the 60s of the 20th century by television centers of the capitals of the Union republics. The novelty was the automatic adjustment of the brightness of the image depending on the illumination, other innovations made it possible to obtain high quality images and sound. This is how the automatic adjustments made the TV work stable at different input signal levels. The model uses a 53LK2B kinescope with a beam deflection angle of 110 ° and a screen size of 480x380 mm. The TV operates in 12 channels and in the VHF-FM range, and with a special attachment it forms a stereo complex, with the ability to receive stereo programs in the VHF range and listen to stereo records, supplementing it with a stereo EPU with a mono amplifier and one speaker system.
