Network tube radio receiver "R-2".

Tube radios.DomesticSince the fall of 1939, the R-2 network tube radio receiver has been produced by the Moscow plant "Radiofront". The radio receiver "R-2" is a three-lamp one, on 6K7, 6F6 and 5Ts4 metal tubes, assembled according to the 0-V-1 direct amplification scheme with limited feedback and is intended for local reception with AC power supply. The control is carried out by one knob, which gives smooth tuning to the station and, in its extreme positions, switches to long and medium waves. For playing gramophone records, the receiver has sockets for the adapter. The receiver uses a loudspeaker with a permanent magnet, which in the future is supposed to be replaced by a loudspeaker with extraneous excitation. The frequency response of the receiver is wide enough and the sound quality is good. In 1939 the plant plans to produce 200 R-2 receivers. Apparently, the radio was subsequently upgraded, since the image on the right differs from the above photographs.
