The RP-8 radio receiver is similar in type and purpose to the EKL-4 and EKL-34 models. The first stage of the UHF operates on a SO-148 lamp, the second (detector) on a SO-118 lamp, the third - low-frequency amplification on a SO-118 lamp, the fourth - an output amplifier on an UO-104 lamp, the rectifier is assembled on a VO-116 lamp. Receiver frequency range: Long waves 158 ... 410 kHz (1930 ... 730 m). Medium waves 475 ... 1400 kHz (630 ... 217 m). The sensitivity of the receiver at an output power of 0.1 W, on the DV - 1500 µV, with a minimum and 100 µV at maximum feedback, on the SV - 500 µV and 40 µV, respectively. Selectivity on the adjacent channel with a detuning of 10 kHz and maximum feedback, gives an attenuation of the signal of the interfering radio station by 15 ... 20 times. The receiver uses an electrically magnetized loudspeaker similar to the loudspeaker used in the EKL-34 model. The RP-8 receiver has the ability to play gramophone records with an external pickup.
